How It Works — No Surprises, No Pressure

No mystery. No pressure. Just a straightforward look at what's actually going on with your roof.

01
STEP 01

You Book in Under 60 Seconds

Answer a few quick questions, pick a time for your call, and you're booked. Right from your phone. Prefer to talk or text? That works too.

02
STEP 02

We Call You First

A 10-minute call to understand your roof and give you a ballpark number. If a field visit makes sense, we schedule it right then. For insurance cases, ask about our $150 photo-documented inspection — credited toward any work.

03
STEP 03

We Come Out and Actually Look

A thorough assessment of your roof — not a 10-minute look designed to sell you something. Because we already understand your situation from the call, we show up prepared the first time. Your time doesn't get wasted.

04
STEP 04

You See What We See

A plain-language explanation and a written estimate. Whether you need a full replacement or just a repair, we'll tell you straight. No upsells. No scare tactics.

05
STEP 05

You Decide. On Your Timeline.

Take the estimate, compare it to others, sleep on it. Move forward and we schedule the work. If not, no hard feelings — we'll be here if you change your mind.

What It's Actually Like to Work With Mulcock

Three stories from East Valley homeowners — in their own words.

on standing behind the work — even after the job was done

When we purchased our house, we knew it would need a new roof. We called to get several estimates. We chose Mulcock Roofing and they did a fantastic job. Even when the painter smashed a few clay tiles, we called and they sent someone out to take care of it. Highly recommend!

Kim Roof Replacement

on being treated with respect during the job

We had our roof replaced earlier this month by Mulcock Roofing. They did a great job. They had to tear off 2 layers of old roofing and they were meticulous doing that. Austin, our representative was great. The foreman Luis was great. He was very professional and explained everything they were doing to me. We love our new roof. I highly recommend Mulcock Roofing. It was a very positive experience.

Emily Sessler Roof Replacement

on handling the insurance side of things

Recently had a roof installation with Mulcock Roofing — couldn't have had a better experience. From the strapping young lad Austin coming out to bid the job to Steve, the process was easy and seamless. They even help with the insurance side with communication with adjuster. Easy experience, pleasant experience!!

Why East Valley Homeowners Choose Mulcock

Meet Steve Mulcock

Steve founded Mulcock Roofing in 1999 and still runs it the same way 27 years later — he's personally involved in customer walk-throughs, and his name goes on every estimate that leaves this office.

When you call, you're not routed to a call center or passed to a sales rep trying to close on the first visit. You're working with a family business where the owner is reachable and the crew has been together long enough that homeowners remember them by name. Austin runs estimates. Luis leads the installs. Both of them show up in our Google reviews — not by coincidence.

That's the difference. It's also why most of our new customers find us through someone who's already worked with us.

Built for Arizona roofs

Tile, shingle, foam, and flat. Monsoon damage, UV degradation, and cracked underlayment are what we see every week — not edge cases. We know what East Valley roofs actually need because we've only ever worked on them.

Licensed and verifiable

Arizona ROC #348074. GAF-certified. BBB-accredited. Fully insured. Every one of those is searchable — we list them because we want you to check.

We come back when we say we will

Workmanship warranty on every job, and a phone number that actually gets answered after the check clears. Read Kim's review above — we take that part seriously.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if I need a full replacement or just a repair?

Honestly — you usually don't. That's our job to figure out. The diagnosis starts on your initial call, where we'll talk through what you're seeing and give you a ballpark direction. From there, we schedule the field visit so we can actually get on the roof and confirm what's going on — photos, plain-language explanation, the whole picture. Age, material, and storm history all factor in, but most East Valley roofs hit the replacement stage somewhere between 15 and 25 years depending on the material.

How much does a roof replacement cost?

East Valley roof replacement costs vary mostly by material. For a typical 2,000–2,500 sq ft home: asphalt shingle runs roughly $8,000–$16,000, concrete or clay tile runs $15,000–$30,000+, and foam or flat roofs run $5,000–$15,000+. Larger homes, steep pitches, and premium materials push the upper end higher. We'll give you a ballpark range during your initial call once we know what you have, then a real number for your specific roof after the field visit. If you're working with insurance, we line the estimate up with what your adjuster approves.

Do you work with insurance claims?

Yes. When a storm damages your roof, we'll meet with your insurance adjuster, document the damage thoroughly, and communicate directly with them so you don't have to be the middleman. For insurance cases, we offer a $150 photo-documented inspection that gives your carrier the detail they need — and if the claim is approved, that cost typically rolls into the approved scope of work. We'll discuss whether this makes sense for your situation during your initial call.

How long does a typical roof replacement take?

Most residential replacements take 1 to 3 days of actual work, depending on roof size and material. Tile roofs take longer than shingle. We give you a clear timeline before we start, let you know what to expect each day, and clean up thoroughly when we're done. You won't walk out to a driveway full of nails.

Do I need to be home during the work?

For the initial call, you just need to be reachable by phone — about 10 minutes. For the field visit (if we schedule one), it helps to be home so we can walk you through what we found and answer questions in real time, but it's not required. During the actual project, you don't need to be home — we don't need interior access for the roof work. We coordinate timing with you and keep you updated by text throughout.

Do you offer a warranty?

Every job includes a workmanship warranty — we stand behind our install work directly. Your roofing materials also come with a separate manufacturer warranty (terms vary by product). We'll walk through both in detail when we give you your estimate so you know exactly what's covered and for how long.

What happens to my yard during the project?

We cover landscaping, pools, and patios with tarps before anything comes off the roof. Crews stage debris into dump trailers — not piled on your driveway. At the end of each day we clean up, and we run a magnet sweep of the driveway and yard when the job is done to pick up any loose nails. It's a messy job, but you shouldn't be able to tell a week later.
